Authlib: Fail-Open Cryptographic Verification in OIDC Hash Binding

Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. Prior to version 1.6.9, a library-level vulnerability was identified in the Authlib Python library concerning the validation of OpenID Connect (OIDC) ID Tokens. Specifically, the internal hash verification logic (_verify_hash) responsible for validating the at_hash (Access Token Hash) and c_hash (Authorization Code Hash) claims exhibits a fail-open behavior when encountering an unsupported or unknown cryptographic algorithm. This flaw allows an attacker to bypass mandatory integrity protections by supplying a forged ID Token with a deliberately unrecognized alg header parameter. The library intercepts the unsupported state and silently returns True (validation passed), inherently violating fundamental cryptographic design principles and direct OIDC specifications. This issue has been patched in version 1.6.9.

Unauthorized access to invite ID during team creation

Mattermost versions 11.3.x <= 11.3.0, 11.2.x <= 11.2.2, 10.11.x <= 10.11.10 fail to filter invite IDs based on user permissions, which allows regular users to bypass access control restrictions and register unauthorized accounts via leaked invite IDs during team creation.. Mattermost versions 11.3.x <= 11.3.0, 11.2.x <= 11.2.2, 10.11.x <= 10.11.10 fail to handle incorrectly reported array lengths which allows malicious user to cause OOM errors and crash the server via sending corrupted msgpack frames within websocket messages to calls plugin. FastMCP OAuth Proxy token reuse across MCP servers

FastMCP is the standard framework for building MCP applications. Prior to version 2.14.2, the server does not properly respect the resource parameter submitted by the client in the authorization and token request. Instead of issuing the token explicitly for the MCP server, the token is issued for the base_url passed to the OAuthProxy during initialization. This issue has been patched 2.14.2.

Credentials exposure in tinycontrol devices

Tinycontrol devices such as tcPDU and LAN Controllers LK3.5, LK3.9 and LK4 have two separate authentication mechanisms - one solely for interface management and one for protecting all other server resources. When the latter is turned off (which is a default setting), an unauthenticated attacker on the local network can obtain usernames and encoded passwords for interface management portal by inspecting the HTTP response of the server when visiting the login page, which contains a JSON file with these details. Both normal and admin users credentials are exposed.  This issue has been fixed in firmware versions: 1.36 (for tcPDU), 1.67 (for LK3.5 - hardware versions: 3.5, 3.6, 3.7 and 3.8), 1.75 (for LK3.9 - hardware version 3.9) and 1.38 (for LK4 - hardware version 4.0).

Tenda AC8 IPv6 check_is_ipv6 ip address for authentication

A vulnerability was identified in Tenda AC8 16.03.50.11. Affected by this issue is the function check_is_ipv6 of the component IPv6 Handler. The manipulation leads to reliance on ip address for authentication. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used.
