Electron: HTTP Response Header Injection in custom protocol handlers and webRequest

Electron is a framework for writing cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prior to versions 38.8.6, 39.8.3, 40.8.3, and 41.0.3, apps that register custom protocol handlers via protocol.handle() / protocol.registerSchemesAsPrivileged() or modify response headers via webRequest.onHeadersReceived may be vulnerable to HTTP response header injection if attacker-controlled input is reflected into a response header name or value. An attacker who can influence a header value may be able to inject additional response headers, affecting cookies, content security policy, or cross-origin access controls. Apps that do not reflect external input into response headers are not affected. This issue has been patched in versions 38.8.6, 39.8.3, 40.8.3, and 41.0.3.

JupyterHub has an Open Redirect Vulnerability

JupyterHub is software that allows one to create a multi-user server for Jupyter notebooks. Prior to version 5.4.4, an open redirect vulnerability in JupyterHub allows attackers to construct links which, when clicked, take users to the JupyterHub login page, after which they are sent to an arbitrary attacker-controlled site outside JupyterHub instead of a JupyterHub page, bypassing JupyterHub's check to prevent this. This issue has been patched in version 5.4.4.

Zulip: Path Traversal in Import

Zulip is an open-source team collaboration tool. From version 1.4.0 to before version 11.6, ./manage.py import reads arbitrary files from the server filesystem via path traversal in uploads/records.json. A crafted export tarball causes the server to copy any file the zulip user can read into the uploads directory during import. This issue has been patched in version 11.6.

Juju: Read All Controller Logs From Compromised Workload

Juju is an open source application orchestration engine that enables any application operation on any infrastructure at any scale through special operators called ‘charms’. From versions 2.9 to before 2.9.56 and 3.6 to before 3.6.19, it is possible that a compromised workload machine under a Juju controller can read any log file for any entity in any model at any level. This issue has been patched in versions 2.9.56 and 3.6.19.

FastMCP: Missing Consent Verification in OAuth Proxy Callback Facilitates Confused Deputy Vulnerabilities

FastMCP is the standard framework for building MCP applications. Prior to version 3.2.0, while testing the GitHubProvider OAuth integration, which allows authentication to a FastMCP MCP server via a FastMCP OAuthProxy using GitHub OAuth, it was discovered that the FastMCP OAuthProxy does not properly validate the user's consent upon receiving the authorization code from GitHub. In combination with GitHub’s behavior of skipping the consent page for previously authorized clients, this introduces a Confused Deputy vulnerability. This issue has been patched in version 3.2.0.

Electron: Use-after-free in download save dialog callback

Electron is a framework for writing cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prior to versions 38.8.6, 39.8.0, 40.7.0, and 41.0.0-beta.8, apps that allow downloads and programmatically destroy sessions may be vulnerable to a use-after-free. If a session is torn down while a native save-file dialog is open for a download, dismissing the dialog dereferences freed memory, which may lead to a crash or memory corruption. Apps that do not destroy sessions at runtime, or that do not permit downloads, are not affected. This issue has been patched in versions 38.8.6, 39.8.0, 40.7.0, and 41.0.0-beta.8.
